"Well I would say that when we look at our youth and we look at the world we are looking at we have to ask, 'Are we looking to develop a class of youth who will become social activists, or develop social minded individuals who would be able to develop policy change or become change agents?... Who can then go out and communicate and become leaders?' To me its about funding programs that would give those tools to individuals so that they can go out there and further social causes. How can we educate our youth to be able to articulate that and build those skills so that they become leaders or innovators--create solutions to problems that exist today? We are looking for those programs that can develop their mind and those skill sets. YTI is such a program."
