"YTI strengthened her interest in theology, reinforced what she was thinking...what she was really drawn to acaemically and intellectually. I think it also opened her eyes to the wide range of additional topics and subjects for study and thought within that whole realm. She came back interested in eco theology and how that manifests itself in systems of religious thought and in everyday life. She really made some incredibly close friendships with people...I mean her school is pretty diverse racially, but it was an all girls school , so I think she made new friends from different parts of the country, different backgrounds that she wasn't exposed to before."
